Overview:

Technology Security Associates is currently seeking an Information Security Analyst, Junior grade, to support our government customer at NAWCAD at NAS Patuxent River, MD.

InfoSec responsibilities include preventing unauthorized individuals from accessing business or personal information. InfoSec duties also include establishing policies, procedures and requirements to protect classified information and CUI that could pose a threat and cause damage to national security if accessed by unauthorized personnel. InfoSec personnel must be able to identify potential threats to information, assess the risk presented, design plans and procedures to mitigate the risk, be responsible for implementing security measures to reduce risk, and be able to monitor current and potential future InfoSec threats.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Assist government leads in management of secure room
Maintain and coordinate meetings within the space between multiple program offices
Coordinate with meeting POC's to verify clearances
Provides insight into maintenance/updates of standard security discipline procedures
Collaborate with COR/TPOC/IPTL to determine security requirements and draft DD Form 254s to be reviewed/certified by COSR
Utilize databases for Contract research (DTIC, NISS, DISS, etc.)
Assist PSM in development and maintaining Security Classification Guides (SCGs)
Collaborate with Program Security Manager (PSM) and Technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in Program Protection Plan (PPP) development, including Critical Path Information (CPI) assessment.
Recommend SOW Security language for SOW development
Maintain and participate in PMA Security Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), PPP, SCG documents
Prepare for and assist, as necessary, in Inspector General (IG) visits/Security Assist Visit (SAV) checks
Review Public Release documents in support of PSM and Public Affairs Office (PAO)
Assist Program Security Manager with general questions on procedures and documents
Support to Operations Team when requested if it is within my ability to accomplish the task
Attend unit security coordinator training and receive updates on official security practice changes as issued, refresher training, inspection preparations in order to be in full compliance for the upcoming command inspections
Assist OPS and PSM with incoming building badge requests, providing clearance information and validation for SIPR access
Provide brief/debrief for incoming and outgoing personnel
Classified material destruction - log out, date, method of destruction
Prepare materials for shipment and hand-carrying
Support End of Day operation procedures
Provide security support related to the management and maintenance of Program Operated Security areas and/or secure rooms. To include the physical requirements, communications security (COMSEC), access control and documentation.

Qualifications Required:

HS Diploma.
Basic understanding of word processing, spreadsheets and email
Interim clearance required to start

Qualifications Desired:

Ideal candidate would be flexible and show strong initiative.
Experience with NAVAIR/NAWCAD
Candidate must have reliable transportation due to the facility location
Secret Clearance

TSA is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employees. The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
