Internship Description:
Apex Systems is providing Cyber Security opportunities to veterans.
We are seeking veterans that are interested in one of the following career pathways:
(SkillBridge - to - Hire) Starting in SkillBridge, then will be interviewed to be hired to work in Ft.
Meade after completing a remote SkillBridge program Company Website:
Requirements:
2-5 years of Cyber Security or Intel experience Active Duty and eligible to enroll in SkillBridge for 30-180 days Willing to participate in remote instructor-led or self-guided virtual classroom training Typical residents will graduate our Skillbridge program with 1-3 technical certifications (security, CISSP, CEH, CYSA, Splunk, CCNA etc.) Comfortable working out of Ft.
Meade, MD for salary range of $100k-$170k TS/SCI clearance Primary Job Responsibilities in Ft.
Meade, MD:
Maintain situational awareness of cyber activity by reviewing DoD, Intelligence Community and open source reporting for new vulnerabilities, malware or other threats that have the potential to impact the DoDIN.
Support mission-critical Continuity of Operations (COOP) Synthesize, summarize, consolidate and share potentially malicious activities on the DoDIN with DISA and mission partner organizations by creating incident reports, wiki updates, collaboration/chat tippers and notifications, DoD incident handling database queries, metrics, and trend reports.
Assist in providing threat and vulnerability analysis as well as security advisory services and recommendations Familiar with the DoD, Intelligence Community, and private sector cyber community.
During SkillBridge, Apex Systems senior recruiting team can assist with employment opportunities and how you may be eligible to receive housing allowance by utilizing your VA/GI Bill benefits under the Apprenticeship program.
Vets2PM Provides :
Mentorship and guidance via weekly SkillBridge intern Zoom Meetings.
PMP Certification Training.
PM Fundamentals course, Resume writing, LinkedIn optimization, and interview skills course.
Other free resources, including an electronic copy of 'How to Speak Civilian Fluently.' Other :
Not all internships include certification training by Vetes2PM, as many host companies include their own internship-focused training instead.
