The Commercial Title Officer is responsible for the specific duties listed below.
Your specific duties will include:
Underwrites, researches, and writes Title Policies, primarily for commercial transactions, in accordance with internal and external policies and regulations.
Examine title searches or Abstract reports for the preparation of Commitments for Title Insurance.
Prepares appropriate write-ups for commitments and policies with extended coverage.
Properly prices commitments, endorsements, and policies using an appropriate schedule of fees and charges.
Completes calculations of Maryland recording taxes based on multistate/multijurisdictional transactions.
Familiar with all aspects of title work.
Properly prices commitments, endorsements, policies, and guarantees using an appropriate schedule of fees and charges.
Specific qualifications for the position include:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with company operating systems and knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, strongly desired.
Analytical review skills.
Research skills.
3-5 years of title/related real estate experience.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Pay Rate Range: $28. 00 per hour
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits including medical, dental, and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
