Main Purpose of Job

This position is responsible for supervising, coordinating, planning, and evaluation of the SSI and Foster Care Reimbursement Unit whose responsibility is to ensure that the agency receives all funds due as reimbursement on behalf of youth in Foster Care. At all times, the incumbent will provide customer service to both internal and external customers that meet or exceeds the standards by the department.

POSITION DUTIES

Coordinates, plans, supervises, and evaluates the operation of the Foster Care Reimbursement unit and the Foster Care Trust Account data entered in Microsoft D365 Finance Operations.
Monitors the progress of general journal approvals and follow-up as needed to expedite the processes.
Reviews and finalizes representative payee report to be returned to Social Security Administration.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Three years of administrative staff or professional work.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to two years of the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from a college or university for the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included the regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given to applicantswho possess the following preferred qualification(s).Include clear and specific information on your application regardingyour qualifications.

Six months experience working with Google Workspace and
Microsoft Office.
One year experience working in a financial institution or
the banking industry.
One year experience collecting and analyzing data.
Six months experience managing supervisor and staff.

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
