Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range

$129,200.00 - $213,200.00

What Is the Opportunity?

Enterprise Customer Experience has an exciting opportunity to build out best-in-class business insights and delivery tools supporting Customer Experience and Market Research. You will partner with Market Research experts and Enterprise Data & Analytics to build out new data assets that address ongoing needs in competitor and distribution intelligence. Additionally, you will lead a small team to stand up data visualization and dashboard capabilities in support of analytics and ECX business partners.

The ideal candidate has a high attention to detail, can distill the needs of internal customers into requirements, is analytically minded, has experience with various business intelligence delivery platforms, has leadership experience, and loves to learn new things.

What Will You Do?

• Utilize Business Intelligence Platforms such as Qlik and/or MicroStrategy to support data visualization, analytics, and Information Delivery needs.

• Partner with the internal Business Intelligence teams and Market Research experts to design, build, and deploy data assets that house Market Insights Data.

• Serve as primary point-person to internal stakeholders to collect, prioritize, and distill high-level needs into detailed requirements.

• Focus on what pieces of value need to be delivered to achieve business partner and internal goals and objectives.

• Lead the intake of business demand and assess value to ensure alignment to long-term roadmaps.

• Work with business partners to design insights portfolio that addresses goals and objectives.

• Drive adoption of insights delivery solution among business partners, including reporting, guided analytics, self-service, embedded, augmented, and data as a service capability.

• Work to ensure team structure and skills are sufficient to deliver and maintain value over time. Balances dependencies with internal and external organizations to ensure value delivery plan can be met.

• Coach and aid in the skill development of the team.

• Align solution design to enterprise data management, security, and governance controls.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

• Development experience in Qlik or MicroStrategy is needed.

• Experience overseeing and/or managing a data product

• Experience with a variety of Business Intelligence tools (SQL, Python, Snowflake)

• Previous leadership/management experience

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with management.

• Ability to quickly gain an understanding of Travelers' business strategy and plan objectives to align with enterprise goals.

What is a Must Have?

• Bachelor's degree or five years equivalent experience with business intelligence tools, techniques, manipulation, or related.
