In response to our continued growth, we are hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to support our operations in Springfield. Essential Functions
Responsible for the design and development of fixtures and tooling related to the enhancement of manufacturing processes for both new and existing products.
Analyze manufacturing process flows continually for enhancement of quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
Develop new and optimized manufacturing processes and product testing methods.
Utilize process mapping and value stream analysis tools to plan space requirements, equipment layout, and workflow patterns.
Communicate recommendations for changes, prepare cost justifications, and coordinate the design and development of new processes, systems, equipment, or materials.
Assist engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing personnel in troubleshooting or problem-solving activities.
Conduct and analyze time and motion studies in order to ensure optimal part/ product flow.
Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles and provide training to others in the organization.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 2+ years of hands-on engineering experience or 6+ years equivalent experience required.
Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodology training.
Software experience to include 2-D/3-D CAD/CAM software, ERP Software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
