The Manager, Medical Information Operations will be responsible for the management of continuous process improvement projects, Medical Affairs platforms, Medical Affairs standard operating policies & procedures and Medical Review operations. The Manager will be working with the Medical Affairs and matrix teams on the timely review, approval, and execution of projects. The candidate will utilize project management skills to define, analyze, and report key performance indicators for medical review operations, MA operations enhancement projects, Medical Affairs IT platforms and MA procedures and compliance.

Position Summary:

Under the direction of Medical Information Associate Director, the Manager, Medical Information Operations will lead and participate in Medical Information continuous process improvement projects, Medical Affairs platforms and Medical Affairs standard operating policies and procedures. The manager will perform operational activities and manage workflow for Medical Review Committee (MRC). The Manager will collaborate and manage medical affairs operational improvement projects including medical information budgets and dashboard reporting. The Manager is accountable for ensuring that all departmental policies and procedures are current, revised and implemented. In this capacity, the Manager will work with the relevant Medical Affairs functional leads and matrix team members (e.g., Quality Assurance and Compliance) to ensure timely execution of these activities. The Manager will collaborate with IT to upgrade and maintain MA IT platforms.

Performance Objectives:

Collaborate and manage medical affairs operational improvement projects including planning, execution, and delivery of projects using continuous quality improvement principles and agile methodologies

Monitor effective implementation of plan. Conduct retrospective analyses to reflect on project outcomes and identify lessons learned.

Manage and maintain Medical Affairs Platforms and collaborate with IT on potential enhancement opportunities.

Facilitate the development and maintenance of MA SOPs/Guidance documents.

Collaborate with departmental leaders/members to analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities for process optimization.

Establish and manage a repository of process documentation and training.

Develops project timelines for MRC submissions with matrix team and vendors

Responsible MRC Coordinator to track and facilitate MRC materials from submission to final approval

Proactively manage files and systems needed to support the MRC review process.

Assist in the maintenance of the Taiho reference libraries working with project sponsors and the system vendor to ensure that said libraries are kept current.

Education/Certification Requirements:

BS, BA degree or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Minimum of 5 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry; oncology experience preferred.

Medical Affairs Operations experience is a plus.

Good time management, planning, and scheduling skills, with a strong attention to detail.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to work in a matrix environment and function autonomously.

Team player, collaborative, relationship oriented, and problem-solving ability.

Advanced use of Microsoft Office Tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.

Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $129,200 and $152,000 annually. This pay range is based on the market range for positions of this type. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, commissions, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
