Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Summary:
A Nurse Manager and Registered nurse responsible for the 24 hour, seven day a week functions of a clinical nursing unit(s).
What you will do in this role:
Administers, plans and evaluates the activities of the department(s) to ensure quality patient care.

Develops goals, policies and procedures, prepares and submits operating and capital budgets, participates in multidisciplinary QI teams, consults with staff, physicians and other departments as needed.

Manages staffing patterns with the assistance of Assistant Nurse Managers and the House Supervisors on a shift-to-shift basis.

Follows policies and procedures of the facility.

Participates in the Quality Improvement process and adheres to the standards of behavior.

What qualifications you will need:
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, or State Registered Radiologic Technician, or Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), or Registered Nurse
Advanced Cardiac Life Spt, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Associate Degree, or Vocational School Graduate, or Registered Nurse Diploma
HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital is a 221-bed acute care hospital. We serve the communities of Seminole and West Volusia County. Our program offers open-heart surgery and interventional cardiology. Electrophysiology, cardiac rehabilitation, and comprehensive diagnostic services are also offered by this program. Other services that we provide include orthopedic and spine care, as well as robotic surgery. We offer acute inpatient medical rehabilitation and complete imaging services.
