Job Overview:
The Paint Department Manager is responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and repairs of the company's facilities and equipment. This individual will oversee maintenance staff, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and manage the department's budget. A strong understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems is essential to ensure that the facility's operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Prioritize and oversee maintenance and repairs of all company equipment.
Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and ensure proper functionality of equipment.
Check and maintain electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Plan and supervise all equipment repairs within the plant.
Allocate workloads and manage the performance of maintenance staff.
Monitor inventory levels and place orders for equipment and parts as needed.
Manage the maintenance budget, tracking expenses and controlling costs.
Coordinate work performed by outside vendors and contractors.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report daily activities.
Ensure compliance with health and safety policies across the maintenance team.
Qualifications:
5-7 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, with proven managerial experience.
Strong technical knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and schematics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Must be able to stoop, bend, and crouch to work on equipment.
Ability to lift and move 50 pounds or more.
Must have good vision, both close and long distance.
Ability to work in hot, cold, and humid conditions as required.
Comfortable working in a noisy manufacturing environment.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to work inside and outside the plant in varying weather conditions.
Must be able to work in hot and noisy areas of the facility.
