I. Major Responsibilities:

Management of the day-to-day operations of the assigned program(s) consistent with the agency mission, policies, procedures, and with applicable laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and other applicable standards.
Provide culturally competent leadership to the program.
Provides and/or assigns clinical and administrative supervision to staff and evaluates their performance.
Foster and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and represent CHL at all local and statewide meetings, coalitions, payers, and other stakeholder events. Develop pathways to and from community providers to support access to care for clients.
Manage the program's case assignment, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Standard Management Level Responsibilities:

Directs and supervises assigned personnel including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training. Makes recommendations on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions. Resolves grievances and other personnel problems within position responsibilities.
Develops and recommends the budgets for the programs managed. Manages activities to assure financial goals are met.
Coordinates the assignment of tasks and helps resolve technical and operational problems. Evaluates the impact of solutions to ensure goals are achieved.
Provides effective direction, guidance, and leadership over the staff for effective teamwork and motivation; fosters the effective integration of efforts with system-wide initiatives.
Encourages and supports diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, respect, tolerance, civility, and acceptance toward all employees, patients, and visitors.
Integrates diversity into departmental objectives, such as hiring, promotions, training, vendor selections, etc.
Participates in performance improvement initiatives and demonstrates the use of quality improvement in daily operations.
Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies such as DPH (Department of Public Health), DMH (Department of Mental Health), etc. Develops and maintains procedures necessary to meet regulatory requirements.
Ensures that programs comply with agency established policies, quality improvement initiatives, safety, and infection control policies and procedures.
Ensures adequate equipment and supplies for department.
Develops and maintains established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
Ensures compliance with all health and safety regulations and requirements.
Maintains regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
Performs similar or related duties as required or directed.

II. Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:

Required:

Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in a behavioral health field:
psychology, social work, mental health counseling, or marriage and family therapy.
Some programs may require independent licensure including LMHC, LICSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist.
Preferred:

Licensed Addiction and Drug Counselor (LADC) may be preferred.
Experience/Skills:


Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
Knowledge of community behavioral health operations.
Knowledge of clinical treatment and/or crisis management with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, developmental disabilities, and/or substance use disorder.
Effective communication with consumers, staff, peers, and other professionals.
Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills.

Strong organizational and delegation skills.
Ability to identify priority tasks in fast-paced environments.
