Nesco Resource is seeking an onsite Data Center Technician (Smart Hands Tech) in Westborough, MA.

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Smart Hands Technician with a strong background in onsite data center operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with performing escorts, configurations, plug & cable and an understanding of data center infrastructure. This role requires a hands-on individual who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional technical support.

Sunday-Tues 6pm-6am, Wed 10pm-6am
It is paying $28 an hour plus a 10% differential, totaling $30.80/hr. This is a full-time position with full benefits after 90 days.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform onsite support activities including configurations, cable management, and physical hardware troubleshooting.
Monitoring and maintenance of servers, storage devices, and networking equipment.
Coordinate with remote teams and provide hands-on support for various IT infrastructure projects.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of data center equipment.
Manage and document hardware inventory, ensuring accuracy and availability.
Ensure compliance with data center policies, security protocols, and safety standards.
Respond to and resolve technical incidents and service requests promptly.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support data center operations and project deployments.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to best practices for data center management.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or degree in a related field preferred.
Proficiency in using various tools and equipment for hardware installation and repair.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as required.
Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Server+, or equivalent.
Familiarity with data center management software and monitoring tools.
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for data center operations.
