National Grid's Graduate Development Program (GDP) is a year-long development program for recent college graduates who aspire to take on future leadership roles in a dynamic, ever-changing industry.
Graduates will shape the future of National Grid.
Bringing fresh thinking, new perspectives, and exploring with energy, we'll give you real responsibility and an opportunity to move with purpose from day one - putting the power to supercharge your career in your hands.

Graduates start their careers at National Grid with an in-depth 3-week in-person Orientation which gives you exposure to all parts of the company, allows you to network with your Graduate cohort, GDP alumni, and senior leaders, and provides you with the opportunity to travel throughout our service territory in the northeast US.
Following Orientation, you'll begin working in full-time position outlined below and take part in ongoing development activities including quarterly development sessions, active mentorship, and a Hackathon Project.

Graduates in our Finance team will take part in a 12-month exploration.
Your first 6 months will be in the role outlined below and you will return to this role following a broadening 6-month placement designed to provide you with a breadth of experience within your functional area and accelerate your progression at National Grid.
This placement will provide you with the opportunity to solve complex problems and focus on growth that will transform the energy sector as we know it.

As an Associate Data Analyst, Management Data Analysis, you will join National Grid's Financial Data and Reporting Office (FDRO) and contribute the important financial data reporting that supports efficient operations across the organization here at National Grid.
You will deliver financial data reports directly to our internal stakeholders working with them to ensure the reporting is accurate, complete, and suited to the user(s).

Specific projects will include:

• Continuing National Grid's global integration, aligning datasets and reporting between the US and the UK.
  
• Integrating Global Finance data with Global Procurement data - ensuring that Grid's multi-billion dollar vendor relationships are properly measured and analyzed.
  
• Transforming Grid's Global ESG (Environmental, Social, & Governance) reporting from a manual exercise with dozens of inputs to a validated, automated one.
  

This is a hybrid role that can be located in Waltham, MA, Syracuse, NY, or Brooklyn, NY.

As an Associate Analyst, you will work on projects that support our entire global organization.

In this role you will:

• Build, maintain, and update data visualizations, dashboards, and analysis.
  

• Partner with stakeholders across the Finance team to manage and deliver data solutions.
  

• Contribute to the development of a highly motivated, innovative, and customer-focused finance team.
  

• Develop and update written policies and procedures over the financial reporting process.
  

• Support the delivery of change across the Finance team and the business, embracing new ways of working and owning delivery of key outcomes to drive the improvement of long-term business capability.
  

• Bachelor or Master's degree from an accredited institution

• Graduated between May 2024 and June 2025

• Ability to begin the National Grid Graduate Program on June 2, 2025 or July 7, 2025

• Valid driver's license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid's Safe Driver policy

• Work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (such as sponsorship for an H-1B, TN, O, L, STEM OPT, or other employment-based work authorization)

Salary Range
Brooklyn, NY $68,000 - $88,000 a year

Syracuse, NY $56,000 - $72,600 a year

Waltham, MA $63,000 - $81,400 a year

Please note US Colleagues must reside within our existing footprint, which includes Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island and Vermont.
As a National Grid employee, you should also reside within a reasonable, commutable distance to your assigned primary office.
