Pete's Tire Barns was started by Peter A. Gerry in 1968 andhas grown to one of the largest independent tire dealerships in the country.Pete's currently operates 22 full-service locations in New England, astate-of-the art Distribution Center, 3 Bandag retreadfacilities, employs in excess of 300 people, and operates a fleet of over 100service and delivery vehicles. Today, approximately 90% of our business is inthe commercial truck tire and related markets. Pete's serviceseverything from a wheelbarrow tire up to an earthmovertire.

No experience needed! We arecommitted to training the right candidate for an entry-level tire technicianposition.

We are looking for a candidate who isself-motivated and interested in beginning a career in the tire industry. Inthis role, you are able to gain experience with various tires and equipment.

Sign On Bonus: Paid at successful completion of 3 months, another at 1 year!

Qualifications:

Driver's License preferred
HighSchool Diploma or Equivalent preferred

Requirements:

Responsible for changingprimarily passenger, light truck, loader, farm, ATV and/or lawn and garden
Perform tire repairs,replacements, and general service to tires and wheels
Remove or replace mountedtire assembly from vehicles
Ability to recognizerepairable tires and properly perform repair and discard tires that are notrepairable
Communicate all workperformed via legible writing on tags, work orders and/or invoices
Perform all tasks in asafe and efficient manner
Use all provided safetyequipment such as gloves, jack stands, wheel chocks, air cages, safety glassesand communicate equipment needs
Report all tools orequipment that need repair or that are broken and report all unsafe actions,problems or abnormal situations to the store manager or safety manager
Perform daily maintenanceof tools and equipment
Review service workorders for complete information such as required customer information, repairs,mounts, new tires, valves before giving to the store manager
Ensure that all productsleave with proper paperwork
As needed, performmiscellaneous job duties to ensure prompt services to our customer
Willing to make customersatisfaction a number one priority, must be flexible and understand that jobpriorities will constantly change due to customer needs
Equipment: Capable ofoperating lift gates, service tools, air compressors, hydraulic jacks, airguns, air gauges, mounting and balancing machines, and computer and officeequipment

Physical Demands:

Exerts 75 to 125 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 75pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds offorce constantly to move objects. Frequently reaches (extending hands and armsin any direction), handles (seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or workingwith hands), and identifies and distinguishes colors. Occasionally climbs(ascends or descends ladders, stairs, ramps, and the like), balances.Occasionally stoops (bending the body downward and forward by bending at thewaist, legs and spine), and kneels (bending the legs at knee to come to rest onknee or knees).
