Assist with safety audits using web-based software.
Assist in the development, evaluation, executing, and upgrading of the safety program.
Assist investigations of incidents and complaints regarding unsafe or unhealthy work conditions and practices.
Assist with communication activities which promote and raise awareness of desired safety culture.
Support corrective measures when and where needed.
Support creating site specific plans for each project.
Enforce safety protocols throughout job sites.
Ensure up-to-date emergency protocols are in place.
Maintain knowledge of current OSHA standards and regulations.
Participate in the preconstruction stages of projects.
Help maintain and enforce safe work practices and quality safety culture.
Help prepare and conduct safety orientations and toolbox talks.
Drive and be an active participant in the Columbia Way.
Requirements
Willingness and desire to learn and grow.
Comfortable working with various types of software and technology.
Familiarity with safety protocol and procedurals.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong computer skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite.
OSHA 30 hour preferred.
Knowledge of construction management preferred.
