Pete's Tire Barns was started by Peter A. Gerry in 1968 andhas grown to one of the largest independent tire dealerships in the country.Pete's currently operates 22 full-service locations in New England, astate-of-the art Distribution Center, 3 Bandag retreadfacilities, employs in excess of 300 people, and operates a fleet of over 100service and delivery vehicles. Today, approximately 90% of our business is inthe commercial truck tire and related markets. Pete's serviceseverything from a wheelbarrow tire up to an earthmover tire.

Qualifications:

Driver's License &clean driving record required
Minimum of 3 years in thetire industry required
Minimum of 3 years ofcustomer service experience preferred
HighSchool Diploma or Equivalent preferred

Requirements:

Abilityto support many functions, including filling in for the store manager duringabsences
Collaborate with StoreManager on the daily operations of the store and in the training, coaching, andmanaging of employees
Assist with schedulingemployees, completing time-clock reporting, and assigning work
Interact with customers,recommend products and scheduled service
Process paperwork andutilize company computer systems to help maintain proper billing and inventory
Actas a shop foreman and as a service writer
Answerphones, assist customers, and perform tire changes
Providehands-on support to front desk
Cashout customers and support and conduct tire deliveries
Language skills: Abilityto read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions, and procedure manuals
Possess basicmathematical skills
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in writing, oral ordiagram form
Computer skills: Basiccomputer skills; training will be provided as needed
Communication skills:Must be good at communicating with customers, employees and vendors in person,on the phone and via electronic tools such as e-mail and text messaging
Perform duties of tiretechnician when needed

Frequently reaches (extending hands and armsin any direction), handles (seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or workingwith hands), and identifies and distinguishes colors. Occasionally climbs(ascends or descends ladders, stairs, ramps, and the like), balances.Occasionally stoops (bending the body downward and forward by bending at thewaist, legs and spine), and kneels (bending the legs at knee to come to rest onknee or knees).
