Starting Wage: $30.67

What You Will Do

• Performs precision fabrication, mechanical, and electrical assembly, molding, inspection/isolation, and repair/rework operations on a variety of shelters/radars, antennas and systems, utilizing sketches, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and/or methodized instructions.

• Works to verbal, written, video and computer instructions.

• Utilizes precision measuring equipment to assemble and inspect parts and assemblies.

• Performs drilling, masking, soldering, marking and other modifications to accommodate assembly operations.

• Prepares and applies potting, molding, and other compounds as required by the assembly process.

• Maintains cleanliness of workstation and equipment.

• Provides routine equipment and workstations maintenance.

• Advances or retrieves product, material and tooling for self and others.

• Maintains and replenishes daily use items.

• Operates multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously including automatic and semiautomatic wire wrap equipment.

• Performs general maintenance and housekeeping of workplace, tools and equipment.

• Maintains records, moves materials and follows safety rules in performance of duties.

• Performs other similar duties as required or directed.

Qualifications You Must Have

• High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED).

• Minimum of 2 years' experience with electromechanical assemblies.

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• Post-Offer Testing Requirement: You will be required to take post-offer qualifying tests to determine whether you meet the qualifications for this position.

This position is part of a collective bargaining agreement. Wage and work place conditions, including shift times, are subject to this agreement. Individuals hired into this position will be represented by a union.
