Job Posting: Accounts Payable Clerk (Temporary)
Location: Lee, Massachusetts - Onsite, In-Office
Hours: Part-time, 20 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM EST)

Who We Are

The College Internship Program (CIP) is a private young adult transition program for individuals aged 18-26 with autism, ADHD, and other learning differences, offering comprehensive and specialized services.

CIP's programs uniquely address the needs of young adults with learning differences by focusing on the generalization of skills while living within a community of peers in a supported apartment living environment. Each student's unique needs are met individually as they transition to independent living, college, and employment.

CIP is one of the most comprehensive programs in the world, empowering young adults with learning differences to succeed in college, employment, and independent living. We strive to challenge the norms of what people with learning differences can achieve.

The Work Experience

This temporary position provides a great opportunity for those looking to enhance their accounting skills in a professional environment. As part of the Finance & Accounting team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely payments and maintaining strong relationships with our vendors. You will work independently but under the guidance of senior personnel, gaining experience in a structured, supportive office setting.

What You'll Do

Invoice Management: Review, scan, and record vendor invoices and statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to CIP policies.
Accounts Payable: Maintain and reconcile accounts payable ledgers, ensuring timely and correct payments.
Vendor Communication: Respond to vendor inquiries and assist in researching and resolving discrepancies related to billings and payments.
Documentation: Save and organize related audit documentation.
Collaboration: Work closely with senior personnel, and communicate effectively via Zoom and phone.
Daily Tasks: Gather and sort mail, ensuring promptness in handling and confidentiality in all transactions.

Proactive: You have a knack for problem-solving and are quick to resolve issues independently, yet know when to ask for support.
Confidential & Professional: You handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain high standards of confidentiality in your work.
Tech-Savvy: You have solid computer literacy and are comfortable working with accounting software like QuickBooks Enterprise.

What You've Accomplished

Education: You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in an accounting or related role, with a demonstrated understanding of accounts payable processes.
Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise or similar accounting software, along with general office and computer software skills.
Work Ethic: You are reliable, punctual, and take pride in your accuracy and attention to detail.
