Role and Responsibilities:

CW Resources is seeking a motivated and ambitious individual for our 3rd shift Commissary Production Supervisor position. Someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves and take charge! In this role, you'll not only supervise and support a dedicated team, but you'll also be actively involved in the day-to-day physical operations that continue to maintain our high-quality standards.

• Oversees a team comprised primarily of individuals with disabilities to provide services to a military grocery store.

• Will lift, bend, pull, push and assist with other tasks at the store to ensure operational efficiency and timely completion of contract related work.
• Recruits, trains, schedules, and supervises staff members to ensure excellent customer service and operational efficiency.
• Adapts to changing needs and schedules as necessary, works flexible hours to meet the demands of 3rd shift operations.
• Maintains, tracks, and computes, any adjustments to attendance records and payroll.
• Oversees the cleanliness, and maintenance of the store, to include floor care and all housekeeping requirements.
• Ensures store shelves are properly and consistently stocked, rotated and expired items removed.
• Ensures thorough organization of grocery store warehouse, in addition to receiving, handling and inventory count.
• Tackles operational challenges as they arise while maintaining high quality standards.
• Upholds safety standards across the store, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed, and that the team is trained in safe workplace practices.
• Complies with all established company policies and procedures while upholding the security and confidentiality of documents and data.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations, including food safety standards, health codes, and military guidelines.
• Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to commissary team.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of (2) years' supervisory experience (Preferred)
• Minimum of (1) year experience working in a grocery store of similar setting (Preferred)
• Must have a valid driver's license (Required)

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of how to operate in a managerial role.
• Knowledge of how to effectively schedule workers.
• Familiarity with Outlook, SharePoint, Word, and Excel (Preferred)
• Strong commitment to high level of service and quality standards.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, develop and lead teams.

Physical Demands:

• Warehouse managers typically spend a significant portion of their day walking throughout the warehouse to monitor operations, inspect inventory, supervise employees, or resolve issues. This requires physical endurance and the ability to be on your feet for extended hours.
• While a warehouse manager may not perform the manual labor involved in handling goods, there are situations when they may need to assist in lifting or moving boxes, pallets, or materials. These can be heavy, often weighing anywhere from 20 to 50 pounds, and sometimes even more, depending on the type of goods being stored or distributed. Lifting in a warehouse requires good technique to prevent injury.
• The manager may engage in repetitive tasks such as checking inventory, inputting data into a computer, or reviewing orders. This could lead to repetitive motion injuries, especially in tasks that involve constant typing, reaching, or bending.
• A warehouse manager may need to climb ladders or use forklifts to inspect upper storage racks, adjust inventory, or retrieve items. Reaching for products stored on higher shelves may also be required. These tasks demand physical flexibility and balance.
• The role involves overseeing various warehouse activities, which may include interacting with employees, assisting with tasks, or managing complex logistics. Supervising staff and organizing workflows can be physically demanding, as the manager is often required to be hands-on and help out during busy periods.
• The warehouse manager must be ready to respond to emergencies, such as accidents, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards. This may require quick physical intervention, such as operating safety equipment, securing dangerous areas, or assisting with evacuations.
• Warehouse managers may need to operate or oversee the use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery to move goods or organize inventory. This requires not only physical coordination but also the ability to train and supervise others in safe equipment operation.

Environmental Demands:

• Warehouses may have different temperature zones based on the goods being stored. For example, some warehouses deal with perishable food or pharmaceuticals and may require cold storage, while others may have a more standard room temperature environment. Warehouse managers must adapt to fluctuating temperatures, from very cold conditions in refrigerated areas to warmer environments in general storage spaces.
