About the OCA
The Office of the Child Advocate (OCA) is an independent executive branch agency with oversight and ombudsperson responsibilities, established by the Massachusetts Legislature in 2008.
The OCA's mission is to ensure that children receive appropriate, timely, and quality state services, with a particular focus on ensuring that the Commonwealth's most vulnerable and at-risk children can thrive.
Through collaboration with public and private stakeholders, the OCA identifies gaps in state services and recommends improvements in policy, practice, regulation, and/or law.
The OCA also serves as a resource for families who are receiving, or are eligible to receive, services from the Commonwealth.

About the Center on Child Wellbeing and Trauma (CCWT)
The Center on Child Wellbeing and Trauma (CCWT), a division of the Office of the Child Advocate, supports child-serving organizations and systems in Massachusetts in becoming trauma-informed and responsive through trainings, technical assistance, communities of practice, and coaching.
Training and Curriculum Development Manager
Under the direction of the CCWT Deputy Director, the Training and Curriculum Development Manager oversees the delivery of training and technical assistance programs for state agencies and providers that work with children and families.
This role involves providing guidance, support, and expertise to program staff, partners, and stakeholders to enhance the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of state agencies and providers becoming more trauma-informed and responsive.
This work includes supervision of Technical Assistance Specialists.
This position follows a hybrid work schedule of, at minimum, one onsite team day per week (Thursday) and one Tuesday per month in the office located at One Ashburton Place, Boston, MA 02108.
This position also requires travel throughout the Commonwealth, and the selected candidate must have their own transportation.
Duties and Responsibilities (these are a general summary and not all inclusive):

In partnership with the Deputy Director, manage day-to-day logistics of training and technical assistance development and delivery.
Collaborate closely with state, provider, and community partners to evaluate their needs for developing trauma-responsive approaches, and subsequently develop and execute training and technical assistance projects.
Conduct trainings and technical assistance sessions with partners.
Prepare and review agency plans toward becoming more trauma responsive and contribute feedback to full CCWT workplan.
Responsible for oversight of Technical Assistance Specialists.
Analyze trauma assessment data from the Trauma Informed Organizational Assessment to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Design, oversee, and manage training and technical assistance of curriculum.
Develop presentation materials to provide training and technical assistance.
Under direction of Deputy Director, support recruitment and onboarding of new provider organizations and state agency partners.
Proactively address operational issues and collaborate with team members to solve problems quickly and thoughtfully.
Manage assessment and technical assistance work including supporting agencies with all aspects of the CCWT assessment process.
Establish and maintain productive collegial relationships with provider organizations and state agencies.
Perform other related duties as needed.
Minimum Entrance Requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institute of higher education in public policy, human services, or social work.
Applicants must have at least (A) seven (7) years of full-time or equivalent part-time professional, supervisory or managerial experience in public policy, human services, or social work, of which (B) at least one (1) year must have been in a project management, supervisory, or managerial capacity, or (C) any equivalent combination of the required experience and these substitutions:

Graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for three (3) years of the required (A) experience.
Doctorate degree in a related field may be substituted for four (4) years of the required (A) experience.
