We are actively recruiting a Head of Private Equity Advisory to establish a new vertical spanning our Accounting Advisory and Internal Audit practices, bridging transaction-related support, financial reporting, controls, governance and compliance for PE clients, with extended services to portfolio companies.
Such services will include post-acquisition integration, operational accounting improvements, technical accounting issues, and financial process optimization.

He/she will demonstrate PE industry expertise as well as excellent leadership, practice building, strategic vision, project management skills, client service, and mentorship/coaching in developing technical and professional competency.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a strategic business plan for the Private Equity Advisory practice group that aligns with the company's overall strategy and goals
Collaborate with other business group leaders, the CEO, President, COO, and other senior leaders to ensure alignment and support of the company's strategic initiatives
Drive business development efforts, including identifying and pursuing new client opportunities, cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, and participating in proposal development and presentations
Develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, such as industry associations, regulatory bodies, and other influencers, to enhance the practice group's visibility and reputation in the market
Monitor private equity industry trends and stay abreast of changes in the regulatory environment to identify opportunities and risks for the practice group and the company
Work with other departments, such as marketing and finance, to ensure the practice group's activities are aligned with the company's overall strategy and goals
Collaborate on the recruitment, retention, and development of top talent for the practice group, working closely with the HR team to ensure a strong pipeline of candidates and a positive employee experience
Empower and motivate the team by providing leadership, coaching, and mentorship to achieve their goals and build a culture of excellence and accountability
Manage the performance of the practice group's team members, including setting expectations, providing regular feedback, and conducting performance reviews
Participate in the development of the company's annual budget and oversee the financial performance of the practice group to ensure achievement of revenue, profitability, and growth targets
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the practice group and across the company, encouraging team members to leverage each other's expertise, resources, and technology to deliver high-quality work
Knowledge & Skills Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business or related field; masters or advanced degree is desirable
CPA or MBA preferred
15+ years of business services experience selling into the private equity space as a vendor, e.g.
from expert networks, accounting advisory, legal, HR, insurance, etc.
Proven track record of driving business development and growth, with experience in strategic planning, client relationship management, and proposal development
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of professionals to achieve their goals and deliver high-quality work
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members
Knowledge of industry best practices, emerging trends, and technology solutions relevant to the practice group's focus area
Experience in a private equity-backed company is preferred
