The Ares Secondaries team specializes in secondary market transactions of private equity, real estate, and infrastructure investments with AUM of approximately $22 billion as of December 31, 2022. The team is currently looking to hire an Assistant Fund Controller to join our dynamic Finance team of approximately 40 professionals located in our Boston, MA or New York, NY locations.

Responsibilities include:

Manage cash needs across Landmark's private equity, real estate or infrastructure acquisition vehicles
Prepare Landmark acquisition vehicle capital calls and distribution calculations
Track and reconcile daily cash flows for various Landmark investment partnerships
Facilitate wire payments to vendors, to/from underlying investments and third parties
Monitor and report on fund investments across various limited partnership interests
Perform a detailed analysis of financial statements from fund managers
Maintain fund general ledger and trial balances
Coordinate with external auditors to ensure audit deadlines are met

Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

Experience Required: 2-4 years' experience in private equity fund investment accounting or public accounting

General Requirements:

Strong record of academic achievement and will be self-motivated
Ability to work both independently and as a productive member of a team
Strong financial analysis, writing and presentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Strong work ethic, detail oriented and strong organization skills

Reporting RelationshipsCompensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.

$70,000.00 - $110,500.00
