Certified Medication Technician (CMT)JOB PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this job position is to be responsible for assisting in the administering of medications of residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of the attending physician, and the Wellness Director and in accordance with established nursing standards, the policies, procedures and practices of the residence, and the requirements of the state. May also be required to perform as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) as directed; refer to CNA job description.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of six months experience in working with the elderly.
• Current state medication certificate or licensure in states where required.
• Current CPR certificate or the ability to gain a certificate within 30 days.
