The Community Health Services Division is seeking Public Health Nurses to join its evidence-based home visitation program: Family Connects. Our Family Connects Universal Home Visiting Program aims to support parents following the birth of a new child by providing a three-week postpartum nurse home visit to families who live in Lancaster County.
Responsibilities include completing designated assessments of mother, baby and the family's health, identifying needs and strengths, providing teaching and education, providing support and advocacy and providing referrals as needed.
It is beneficial to have experience working with post-partum women, infants, diverse populations, & families with multiple needs. Must be willing to advocate for a positive, and nurturing home environment.
Qualifications: Requires graduation from a baccalaureate degree nursing program accredited by the National League of Nursing.
Necessary Specialist Requirements: Possession of a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska. Possession of a valid driver's license.
