As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for Choctaw Workforce Solutions (CWS), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and readiness of our Service Members (SMs). YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide Patient Care:
See an average of four (4) to six (6) patients per hour, following Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) productivity standards, and deliver high-quality care comparable to other healthcare team members.
Obtain patient histories, administer Health Risk Appraisals, and document care provided with precision and accuracy.
Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals:
Communicate essential patient data to Physicians, Physician Assistants (PAs), and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to support integrated care.
Complete and document all medical orders from Physicians, PAs, or NPs in patient records.
Maintain Accurate Documentation:
Ensure all records and reports are thorough, timely, and legible, including patient treatment documentation in accordance with MTF policies.
Close out each patient encounter by the end of the day and consistently meet established standards for content and accuracy.
Respond to Emergency Situations:
Recognize signs of medical emergencies and initiate life-saving measures in the absence of other medical professionals.
Ensure a safe clinic environment by identifying potential hazards and communicating those concerns as needed.
Support Service Member Readiness:
Assist in preparing SMs for physical exams and conduct the necessary quality control and maintenance of patient care equipment.
Address patient inquiries via phone and provide follow-up as necessary.
Adhere to Clinical Standards:
Follow all professional standards, clinical protocols, and established government and MTF procedures.
Participate in required training and maintain license, credentialing, and quality assurance compliance.
Productivity & Compliance:
Adhere to productivity standards and maintain a level of performance consistent with other team members.
Ensure compliance with health, immunization, and vaccination requirements, and complete all specified DoD, DHA, and MTF training.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Education:
Graduate of an accredited college, university, or vocational nursing program recognized by the Commission on Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) or other relevant accrediting bodies.
Experience:
At least one (1) year of experience as a full-time LVN/LPN within the last three (3) years.
Licensure & Certifications:
Active, unrestricted license to practice as a vocational nurse in any U.S. jurisdiction.
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.

Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills, applying expertise to deliver safe and effective patient care.
Caseload Management:
Ability to manage an extensive caseload in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
Communication & Collaboration:
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with command personnel, healthcare teams, and SMs.
Telehealth Proficiency:
Proficient in telehealth technologies and virtual care platforms, adapting seamlessly to digital patient interactions and support if required.
Confidentiality Awareness:
Understanding of HIPAA guidelines and patient confidentiality, ensuring all patient interactions and records are managed with discretion.
WORK CONDITIONS:
Location:
Work will primarily be performed at William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC) and affiliated facilities within a forty (40) mile radius with potential assignments based on operational needs.
Schedule:
Hours may vary based on mission requirements, including surge support during mobilizations and demobilizations. Flexibility is required to meet mission demands.
Telehealth:
May be required to provide remote services during public health emergencies or other contingencies.
Compliance:
Track working hours in the Defense Medical Human Resources System - internet (DMHRSi) and other systems as required.
