The

Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN / LVN)

will provide skilled, personalized nursing care for students with special needs in community, school, or home health settings. This role is ideal for a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with experience working with children, adolescents, and families, focused on creating a therapeutic, individualized environment. This is a full-time contract position through May 2025.
Compensation:
$28-$30 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

Education:

Completion of an accredited program in practical nursing, qualifying you as a

Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse .
Licensure:

Current, unrestricted license in the state of Texas as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse.
Experience:

Minimum of one year of recent LPN / LVN experience, especially with children, adolescents, and families in a community, school, or home health setting.
Credentials:

Background check, OIG, SAM, OFAC, and NSO screenings as required.
Current BLS-level CPR certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
Compliance with Hepatitis B vaccine
TB screening and baseline testing upon hire (two-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold as required)
Drug screening as per client contract.
Only clinicians with Ventilator experience/mastery should apply
Duties and Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care under the supervision of an RN or physician.
Monitor and operate life support systems and medical equipment, such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors
Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient reactions.
Assist students with special needs in daily living skills, social skills, and recreational activities.
Record and maintain health information in compliance with HIPAA.
Ensure all care practices respect cultural diversity and age-specific needs.
Special Focus:

As a

Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse , support individual students with special needs by providing clinical care and therapeutic activities to promote independence and developmental progress.
