The Rochester office of Lippes Mathias LLP is seeking an experienced litigation Legal Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be key to supporting the administrative functions of the group.

Responsibilities will include:

Assisting with drafting, formatting and proofreading of legal documents, such as briefs and pleadings
Create, organize and maintain electronic filing systems for case materials, client records, and other legal documents.
Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings for attorneys.
Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and mail.
Prepare memoranda to open new matters
Court Filings, including Federal, State and Local
Assist with calendaring critical dates
Create accounting bills and expense reports as needed
Our ideal Legal Assistant will have:

At least 4-7 years of litigation experience in a law firm environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Working knowledge of ProLaw or similar document management system
Exemplary organizational skills and keen attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Accurate typing speed of 65+ wpm
Ability to multitask and to complete projects with little direction
Ability to use discretion and handle confidential information
Ability to meet deadlines and produce high quality work products
Salary range DOE: $25-$30/hour

The pay range provided in this listing is a good faith estimate for this position based on the location that we are hiring for. Criteria included but not limited to, skill level, education, and experience, will determine where a candidate falls within the range.
