Job Summary

This role involves supporting manufacturing areas with a focus on minimizing downtime, increasing productivity, and maintaining the overall Toyota Production System. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, be able to work independently, and possess excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SUPPORT TOOL ROOM ACTIVITIES ON ALL PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES.
  • PRODUCE COMPONENTS FOR REPAIRS AND IMPROVEMENTS ON STAMPING DIES/FIXTURES/MOLDS.
  • SET UP, PROGRAM, AND RUN CNC AND MANUAL MACHINES IN THE TOOL ROOM TO PRODUCE NEEDED COMPONENTS.
  • USE MASTERCAM/SOLID WORKS/AUTOCAD DAILY TO DRAW/ MODIFY/PROGRAM TO PRODUCE NEEDED COMPONENTS.
  • MANAGE MACHINE UPTIME/DOWNTIME.
  • HEAT TREAT NEW DETAILS TO REQUIRED SPECS.
  • TROUBLESHOOT PARTS WHEN ISSUES OCCUR.
  • MAINTAIN WORK AREA AND EQUIPMENT IN A SAFE, CLEAN, AND ORDERLY CONDITION.
  • WORK WITH TOOLING DIE REPAIR TECH TO ENSURE NEW DETAILS ARE INSTALLED PROPERLY.
  • READ TECHNICAL DRAWINGS/BLUE PRINTS.
  • USE MEASURING TOOLS AND GAGES.
  • WORK WITH ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT TO IMPROVE PROCESSES.
  • PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
Requirements:
  • HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT REQUIRED.
  • MACHINIST 1 CERTIFICATE/DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT REQUIRED.
  • 2-5 YEARS TOOLING, MACHINING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
  • 2-5 YEARS EXPERIENCE WITH CAD, CNC PROGRAMMING REQUIRED.
  • EXPERIENCE DRAWING & PROGRAMMING WITH MASTERCAM PREFERRED.
  • CNC, MACHINE SHOP, AND KAIZEN EXPERIENCE A PLUS.
  • STAMPING DIE REPAIR EXPERIENCE A PLUS.
  • TIG/MIG WELDING AND FABRICATION A PLUS.
  • EXPERIENCE USING AN OVERHEAD CRANE A PLUS.
Estimated Salary:$60,000 - $80,000 per year
