We are seeking a talented and experienced Principal Designer for Cooking UI/UX to lead the design and execution of cooking interfaces for both product controls and connected user interactions. This role requires a visionary designer who can influence cross-functional teams to develop user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing designs that resonate with customers and enhance their cooking experience.

How You'll Create PossibilitiesResponsibilities:1. UI/UX Design Development and Strategy

Lead the design of cooking interface strategies in collaboration with industrial design, engineering, and product management teams.
Create designs adaptable to a variety of user types, brands, and product suites, and advocate for their integration into the New Product Introduction (NPI) pipeline.

2. Collaboration with Usability Experts

Partner with usability experts to design the UI architecture, interaction flows, and functional prototypes.
Evolve designs from initial outlines and conceptual diagrams through to wireframes and full visual compositions.

3. User Research and Insights

Identify and lead user research initiatives to understand user needs, translating insights into interface opportunities with user scenarios, wireframes, and mockups.
Provide thought leadership to the insights and research team, managing both internal and external resources to create production artwork and control prototypes.

4. Creative Design Proposals and Cross-functional Sharing

Collaborate with designers to generate creative proposals, including visions, scenarios, and concepts, for presentation to cross-functional teams.
Leverage data to inform design decisions, working with the UI team to track and measure KPIs and develop next-generation UI strategies that consider user context, new technology, and industry trends.

5. Technology Trends and Forecasting

Stay informed on technology trends and branded interactions, both within and outside the industry, to forecast future design opportunities and enhance brand engagement.

What You'll Bring to Our TeamQualifications:Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, User-Centered Design, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial design or UI/UX design, with specific experience in cooking product design.
Strong technical skills and understanding of engineering requirements.
Proficiency in creating various UX deliverables, including wireframes, flowcharts, style guides, and digital prototypes.
Skilled in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma), along with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with iOS and Android UI guidelines.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions.
In-depth knowledge of user-centered design processes and tools.
Experience designing physical interactive prototypes, with knowledge of 3D software and rapid prototyping tools.
Understanding of the global appliances industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in designing user-friendly interactive solutions for consumer-facing products, websites, or applications.
Relevant professional certifications.
Active involvement in professional organizations.
