Position Overview

The Maintenance Repair Technician (MRT) ensures seamless facility and production line operations by maintaining machinery. Candidates must have a strong foundation in machinery maintenance and repair.

Key Responsibilities

1. Install, program, troubleshoot, and report on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems safely.

2. Diagnose, replace, repair, test, and adjust equipment.

3. Perform emergency repairs and regular preventive maintenance using a computerized system.

4. Read manuals, follow work orders, and manage maintenance inventory.

5. Use hand and power tools, electric meters, material handling equipment, forklifts, and man lifts.

6. Identify and report faulty operations and defective materials.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess one of the following educational and experience backgrounds:

1. High School Diploma or Equivalent with:

• 2-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.

• Strong skills in hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial systems.

• Some experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) is highly preferred.

• Must pass Maintenance E.T. test with a minimum score.

2. Associate Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance with:

• No experience required.

• Must pass Maintenance E.T. test with a minimum score.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge for All Candidates

• Technical Understanding:

• AC/DC control circuits.

• Programmable & ladder logic.

• Schematic diagrams.

• Software programmable controllers programming.

• Robotics.

• Lockout/Tagout Training.

• Understanding of Electrical Technology.

• Core manufacturing processes such as Assembly and Welding.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $38.45 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
