Job Summary and QualificationsThe OR Nurse Manager ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department. The Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.

What qualifications you will need:

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Kentucky or compact state required

Associate's Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred

3-5 years of OR experience required

2 years of related leadership or charge nurse experience required

Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 90 days of hire

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire

Specialty CNOR certification preferred

What you will do in this role:

Assist the Director of Surgical Services with department activities to assure a coordinated effort in fulfilling department responsibilities and efficiencies.

Function as a clinical expert in the surgical arena.

Work cohesively with the Director to develop standards and procedures for providing and improving quality patient care.

Involved in making recommendations and changes to policies using evidence based research.

Promote strong working relations with other departments in the facility.

Promote good public relations for the departments and Greenview Regional Hospital while maintaining patient/customer confidentiality and satisfaction.

Support the hospital's mission, values, and vision.

Maintain knowledge and support of the philosophy, objectives, and policies of surgical service and the institution as a whole.
