We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Ashland, KY.
This position offers the chance to work in a high-volume emergency department with comprehensive specialty backup and a state-of-the-art facility currently under development.
This role features 12-hour shifts with weekend coverage required.
There are no on-call responsibilities, providing a predictable work schedule.
The emergency department sees an annual volume of 65,000 visits, ensuring a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
A new emergency department with 75 exam rooms is under construction and is expected to open in late .
Additional facility highlights include a 24-hour Cath Lab and the use of the Epic EMR system.
Specialty backup is comprehensive, with all specialties available except for Ophthalmology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS), and hand surgery.
To support the needs of the department, candidates must be flexible and willing to work both day and night shifts, including weekends.
Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
Current certifications in ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
Providers with IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact) licenses and a Letter of Qualification are welcome to apply.
Active Kentucky medical license.
