EMERGENCY MEDICAL PARAMEDIC

Salary: $25.00 - $30.25 per hour based on experience

Sign-On Bonus: $10,000

This position requires working a 12-hour shift.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate each emergency call to determine the most effective treatment using advanced Paramedic protocols.
Utilize advanced medical equipment and procedures such as defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing assurance and information regarding care.
Serve as team leader, overseeing scene and unit management when necessary.
Drive the ambulance during 911 responses with skill and safety.
Collaborate professionally with allied health personnel and public safety staff, as well as fellow Paramedics.

Additional Responsibilities:

Engage in community programs to foster strong relationships and enhance the image of AMR.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Kansas Paramedic certification or eligibility for certification in Kansas.
Valid State Driver's License.
BLS and ACLS certification required upon hire; PALS certification preferred but not required.
Driving record must meet company policy standards.
Successful completion of a Physical Agility Test.
Some prior work experience, preferably in healthcare.
