We have a career opportunity for a Structural Project Manager with experience in the design and management of bridge and transportation projects. The ideal candidate will also have experience in bridge inspection, load ratings and asset management-related services. This person will serve as a key leader in our Kansas Division and contribute to initiatives that drive the overall growth of the office. As a Structural Project Manager, youwill have the opportunity to manage assigned projects, providing direct supervision, mentorship, and overall leadership.

This position will have a hybrid work schedule and, when in the office, will work from any of our Kansas/Missouri offices. This includes Kansas City, KS, Topeka, KS, Wichita, KS, Manhattan, KS, Lenexa, KS, or Kansas City, MO.

• Serve as project manager on bridge and transportation design projects
• Create and execute project work plans including developing project scope, schedule and budget estimates
• Manage project teams, accountable for budget and schedule
• Mentor junior staff
• Contribute to Kansas Division strategic growth initiatives
• Champion relationships with key clients, including KDOT and/or MoDOT
• Represent Benesch at industry and professional engagement events
• Ability to identify opportunities and lead strategic project pursuits
• Identifying resources needed and effectively delegating staff duties and responsibilities
• Create and Executeprojectwork plans
• Serve as the primary interface between the clients and staff for a givenproject
• Coordinate, monitor, and review work performed by sub-consultants
• Promote the team environment and communication and identify and address team conflicts
• Networking, including activeparticipationinand leadershipofprofessional organizations

• BS in Civil Engineeringor related discipline
• Registered Engineer in Kansas or Missouri
• Minimum of 7+ years of bridge design experience including project management responsibility
• Proven experience on KDOT or MoDOT bridge projects preferred
• Seller/Doer mentality, client interaction experience a plus
• A track record of adhering to design budgets and project schedules
• Excellent communication and client relation skills
• Strong understanding and familiarity with steel/concrete design software
• Experience with bridge inspection, including completed NHI training a plus
• Practice good time management skills, demonstrating the ability to work efficiently within time constraints while dealing with numerous concurrent activities
• Willingness to travel toproject/work sites as necessary
