Description
Water's Edge restaurant is looking for part-time hosts to join our team!
Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Host/Hostess is to greet and seat customers in a timely manner and provide great customer service ensuring that everyone in the party has a great experience.
Essential Job Functions:
Greet guests as they enter and place them on a waiting list as necessary.
Provide guests with menus and answer any initial questions.
Seat guests at tables or in waiting areas.
Assign guests to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the right number of customers.
Engage with guests to ensure they're happy with food and service.
Respond to complaints and help resolve them.
Answer phone calls, take reservations and answer questions.
Have general knowledge of the menu.
Help out with other positions in the restaurant as needed.
Provide great customer service.
Qualifications and Experience: Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.
Must have the ability to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Must have a positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
Must be able to work evenings, every other weekend and holidays.
Prefer prior Restaurant experience.
Physical Requirements:
Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls.
