The White Construction team is looking for a Junior Estimator/Takeoff Specialist to join the team.
The Junior Estimator/Takeoff Specialist would primarily be tasked with providing quantity takeoffs for Highway, Civil & Industrial estimates.
This position would receive direction from and work closely with Estimators and Project Managers.
The training/experience gained through this position provides advancement to the title of Estimator.
Timing depends on effort, progress, and success of the individual candidate.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Review and understand contract specifications, documents & drawings to perform takeoff's accurately
Performs plan measurements to develop and/or verify quantity estimates
Stay apprised of industry standard software including researching and reviewing new technologies to expedite the takeoff process
Communicate with Engineering Consultants and Designers to coordinate information digitally to complete takeoff's
Develops presentation and submittal materials exhibits utilizing basic CAD and drafting
Occasional project site visits and pre-bid meeting attendance
Special projects as necessary
Assist with other estimating duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree desired (Civil Engineers, Construction Management, or related field); High School Diploma or equivalent required
Prior experience in construction industry preferred

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Must be authorized to work in the US now and in the future without company sponsorship.

TRAINING

Safety and compliance training on the job.
