Summary


As an Investment Recovery Analyst, you will collaborate with Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Business Unit Partners to design and implement effective asset recovery strategies that optimize the Company's return on investment for items slated for disposition. You will also support initiatives to optimize inventory levels across the network, ensuring sustainability and alignment with organizational goals.

Key Skills and Responsibilities

Asset Recovery Strategy: Develop and implement sustainable policies and procedures for recovering and disposing of assets efficiently.

Collaboration: Partner with SCM and Business Unit teams to identify opportunities for maximizing value from surplus or obsolete items.

Inventory Optimization: Contribute to strategies that balance inventory levels across the organization to improve operational efficiency.

Compliance: Ensure asset recovery processes align with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Analysis & Reporting: Monitor recovery performance metrics and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.

We're looking for professionals who:

Have experience in inventory management, asset recovery, or supply chain operations.

Possess strong analytical skills to evaluate recovery opportunities and optimize processes.

Demonstrate collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Have knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to asset disposition.

Are detail-oriented and proactive in driving process improvements and sustainable practices.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, sustainability, finance, accounting, economics or job-related field from an accredited college or university

PLUS

Three (3) years' experience in supply chain, sustainability, project management, performance metrics and/or business analysis.

In lieu of bachelor's degree, combination of college coursework and experience in supply chain, sustainability, project management, performance metrics and/or business analysis equaling seven (7) years is required.

Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications:

Knowledge of investment recovery analysis and methods.

Understanding of inventory planning, forecasting, hauling/logistics processes, financial reporting and metric based reports that help drive business decisions.

Strong analytical, verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

Knowledge of Project Management process.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Major Accountabilities

1) Oversees the asset recovery process ensuring policies and procedures are developed, implemented and maintained across the Supply Chain organization, and stranded or obsolete materials are disposed of in an efficient, cost effective and environmentally safe nature.

2) Executes asset recovery strategies utilizing Total Cost of Ownership models to derive optimal value of assets.

3) Identifies and locates underutilized, stranded or obsolete assets for disposal by working collaboratively across Business Units and within the Supply Chain organization.

4) Explores beyond traditional business practices to sustainably dispose assets, identifies potential markets and builds strong relationships with various disposition channels.

5) Communicates performance status including monthly business reports, key performance indicators (KPI's) and various departmental reports to Supply Chain leadership and on behalf of Supply Chain to Business Units.

6) Analyzes trends and issues and recommends alternative strategies to inventory policies to support business objectives.

7) Partner with Environmental Field Services to manage APS' risk, exposure and to help ensure departmental compliance with environmental rules and statutes related to the disposition process.

8) Provides support to business unit leadership and staff in the application and analysis of internal financial models by: compiling relevant data; performing variance analyses (variances to initiatives and targets); updating business operations models and reports supporting the execution of business planning and initiative tracking, gap analysis, metrics development, tracking and benchmarking. Incorporates appropriate risk factors for specific business units or projects into risk analytics in financial and business operations modeling.

9) Manages Request for Proposal (RFP) events for asset sales in the Supply Chain bidding system. Develops scope of work for inventory recovery vendors' RFP events.

10) Completes monthly budget variance analysis and presents to leadership in Materials Management metric meeting.

11) May coordinate warehouse and hauling activities to ensure that materials are re-stocked and delivered in an efficient and timely manner, as required. May coordinate with tree trimming, garage, hauling, Procurement and warehouse personnel to ensure recovery efforts are completed on schedule.
