NorQuesters are difference makers and we're searching for someone dedicated to making a difference to join our Academic portfolio as Associate Vice President, Students and Academic Strategy.
Reporting to the Vice President, Academic, the Associate Vice President (AVP), Students and Academic Strategy is accountable for providing the overall strategic direction and oversight for student services, academic strategy, and integrated educational units at the college.
This includes the library, testing centre, student ability services, student health and wellness, the miyo-pimâtisiwin Centre, Indigenous Careers Centre, Indigenous House of Learning, Reimagine Higher Education, academic planning and budgeting, dual credit, microcredentials, academic pathway partnerships and agreements, Student Judicial Affairs, Work Integrated Learning, and other related projects.
The AVP will also lead and manage processes that span the entire academic portfolio such as communications, committee representation and engagement, global education, and the application of policies, procedures, and collective agreements as they relate to students and employees.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

As the Associate Vice President, you will lead and promote the future of education at the college by activating the Reimagine Higher Education plan, promoting Indigenous ways of knowing and learning, and identifying new opportunities to enhance the student learning experience.
You will achieve this by fostering a college environment that places a premium on a quality student experience, high impact learning, teaching excellence, community engagement, game changers as identified in the Academic Plan, as well as an environment that features flexibility and innovation.
WHAT YOU BRING:

University graduate degree, preferably at the Doctoral level.
A minimum of five years academic administrative experience at a postsecondary institution, preferably at the Dean level.
Budget management of >$10M annually.
Experience working with Indigenous employees and shareholders; OR
Academic strategy development and implementation.

Strong presentation and consultative skills to provide advice to the Strategic Operations Committee, Deans' Council, Strategic Enrolment Management, Academic Council, and Executive Team.
Salary:
$171,804 - $204,789 reflective upon your education and experience.
This is a full-time permanent position with immediate access to our great pension and benefit programs.
