  What You'll Need:
  

• Graduation from accredit school of Radiology Technology
• Current RT License in State of Illinois by IDNS/IEMA
• Current ARRT Registry/eligible
• Basic Life support (BLS) required.

You will be at the forefront of patient care, conducting essential radiographic procedures on specific anatomical areas to aid physicians in diagnosing and treating patients.

  What will you do?:
  

• Determines appropriate radiographic technique and positions patients using immobilization and support devices to ensure optimum film quality.
• Operation of radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable, computed radiography and PACS equipment to ensure quality examinations.
• Adherence to department standards of radiographic quality.
• Delivery of patient care and in accordance with department standards of continued quality improvement.
• Ensure a secure and safe patient and work environment by maintaining continued awareness of safety hazards.
• Development of leadership skills and professionalism for self through participation in department and/or hospital-based committees and continuing education programs.

    Lifting to 20 to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
  • MEDIUM:

• Willingness to attend out-of-town site visits for equipment assessments.

• If the position involves direct patient care or contact, the following lifting requirement applies as of 06/01/2015:
  Ability to lift to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts exceeding 35 pounds or when patients are unable to assist, patient handling equipment should be used with the support of at least one other associate, when available. Any unique patient lifting, or movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis."
