License: Active IL license required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH required
Must-Have:
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Multi-system organ failure management
• Experience with IV insulin protocols
• Chronic/Acute Renal failure experience
• Cerner experience preferred
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:2 in a 4-bed ICU unit.
• Ensure quality care by following specified procedures for cardiac monitoring and emergency response.
• Display proficient skills in arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, and IV therapy.
• Administer continuous IV paralytics, sedation, and manage cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• Assist in managing respiratory and thoracic procedures, including BiPAP, CPAP, chest tube insertion/removal, and ventilator management.
• Interpret ABGs, perform suctioning (ETT, NT), and manage high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC).
• Uphold infection prevention protocols, isolation precautions, and manage surgical wounds with drains or wound vacs.
• Must be flexible to float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals if needed.
• Work every other weekend and two out of three major holidays.
• Complete required orientation and virtual modules by the end of the first day.
Note: The role requires flexibility with the schedule and floating as needed in accordance with facility requirements. Candidates must be proactive in ensuring all necessary certifications and licenses are maintained.
