Overview
Metro Paramedic Services, Inc. is a subsidiary of Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Services, Inc. We contract with local municipalities to provide Emergency Medical Services, Rescue and/or Fire Services. Much of our proven success is attributable to the exceptional, compassionate customer service provided by our employees.
We are currently seeking a full-time Paramedic for our Elwood contract. Starting pay is $66,950.
The basic function of the Paramedic is to provide medical care and transportation for a patient at the Paramedic (EMT-P) level, within their scope of practice, as stipulated by Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and/or EMS Commission of Illinois.
Qualifications
Paramedic Qualifications:
Paramedic License
OSFM Firefighter II or Basic Operations Firefighter Certification (preferred upon hire, otherwise must enroll in fire academy within 18 months)
OSFM Hazmat Technician (preferred)
CPR Certified
19 Years of age
Valid Illinois Class "B" Non-CDL Driver's License
ACLS
PALS
Successfully completion of pre-employment NFPA 1582 physical, drug screen and background check
