This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office).
The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

The Director II, Technology is responsible for overseeing senior technical architects that support Enterprise Architecture activities that guide the development and management of technical, Cloud, Security, I&AM, and infrastructure solutions.
These solutions enable the organization's future-state business capabilities and drive the organization's targeted business outcomes.
Technologies include data center, infrastructure, cloud, mobile, AI, Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, security, edge computing, and immersive experiences technologies.
Ensures creation of deliverables that help develop target-state guidance (standards, guidelines, individual parts, platforms, and configurations) for evolving the technical infrastructure across the enterprise.

How you will make an impact:

  1. Conduct processes to assure business partners and technical operational teams are included in technology direction setting and that the direction is clearly communicated.
  2. Establish and communicate clear infrastructure and technology lifecycles.
  3. Oversee the infrastructure technology portfolio, understand and document the long-term direction for infrastructure technologies, assure current technologies meet capacity requirements, and certify all business solutions against architecture designs and standards.
  4. Lead part or all of the Enterprise Architecture technologies integration and design, develop, and/or communicate the consolidated enterprise architectures for the organization.
  5. Work closely with the entire infrastructure team to ensure compliance with defined standards.
  6. Interface with key Information Technology (IT) solution vendors; develop strategies and facilitate performance measurement plans to optimize vendor performance.
  7. Support the development of Technology Plans and Forecasts for an enterprise-wide technology, tool, infrastructure, or a center or domain that is equivalent in scope and complexity.
  8. Support technology strategic planning, budget development, and provide input to support investment decisions in technologies.
  9. Support the enterprise to ensure application health governance, including technology compliance, security alignment, operational health, and disaster recovery/business continuity requirements are met.
  10. Deliver and support technology architecture solutions for large-scale projects.
  11. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with key business partners.
  12. Hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate the performance of direct reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field of study and a minimum of 8 years of IT management experience, experience in the function/area being managed, and experience managing multiple tasks and projects; or any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background.
Also requires experience in multiple technologies and a broad understanding of all IT functions.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

Experience, expertise, and/or specific certification in TOGAF or equivalent, ITIL preferred.
Health insurance industry experience strongly preferred.

Compensation:

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary range for this specific position is $206,304 to $309,456.
