TECHNICAL SERVICE & SUPPORT REPRESENTATIVE
Location: Addison, IL
Job type: Full-time Permanent
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour depending on experience
Our client, a privately held, stable, growing national importer and distributor, is hiring a full-time Technical Service & Support Representative for their office in the Western Suburbs of Chicago .
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assisting with identifying the spare part(s) required by reviewing machine spare part schematics/drawings
• Requesting pricing & delivery time from our machine builders for non-stock items
• Providing spare part descriptions, prices, and costs so that item numbers can be created for non-stock items / new items
• Entering Quotations for spare parts into Sage
• Sending quotations to customers promptly
• Sending quote requests to our machine builders and following up on those requests
• Assisting with inbound phone calls for servicemachine troubleshooting. This will involve taking down the customers information, machine model, and a brief description of the issue so that the call can be routed to the appropriate service engineer/technician.
• Managing the list of troubleshooting phone calls in Zoho.
• Working with our purchasing/inventory team to ensure we are stocking the proper spare parts and quantities.
• Preparing wear parts lists for our different saw models.
• Assisting with general customer service activities.
REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints and drawings.
• Strong communication skills
• Strong computer skills with above-average Excel skills.
• Strong Organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask
• Mechanical skills the ability to use basic hand tools.
• Experience working in customer service or technical support for a machinery or industrial company
