ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE Must-Have:
- Experience in newborn stabilization- Strong recent labor experience with some LDRP or postpartum experience- Ability to manage laboring patients autonomously, especially nights and weekends
- Work in a secure unit with 6 L&D beds, also utilized for postpartum care.- Collaborate in care for laboring and postpartum patients, including well baby and well mom.- Manage high-risk and critical patients and implement induction, hypertensive crisis, and hemorrhage protocols.- Assume newborn nurse role in C-sections; stabilize until transfer if needed.- Titrate drips such as Magnesium and Pitocin; manage insulin drips if transferring out.- Coordinate with core nursing staff to ensure proper shift coverage and charge RN responsibilities.- Anesthesia on-call support; response within 30 minutes after hours.- Participate in a self-scheduling environment, with fair distribution of weekend and holiday shifts.- Adhere to safety standards and comfortably float to assist as needed without shifting to other departments.- Operate using the Centricity EFM System and Epic charting system.- Comply with dress code:
surgical scrubs unless in delivery.Note:
There is a mandatory orientation comprising one facility day and two 12-hour shifts on the unit.
