Physical Therapy position at St Lukes Boise Medical Center
Specialty: Physical Therapy
Location: Boise, Idaho
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit: Physical Therapy Boise Hospital Flr 1
Patient load: 8-10 patients treated per day
Staffing: 10-13 therapists working per day
Common diagnoses: Neurologic-CVA, MS, Parkinson, Guillain Barre, cranial surgeries, spinal surgeries, orthopedic-total joints, fractures, cardiac-pacers, CABG, valve replacements
Acute Inpatient, Acute Rehab, Skilled, Outpatient: Acute inpatient
Coverage areas: All medical floors (ICU not mandatory), PACU, ED
Floating: Occasional need to float to other St. Luke's Hospital within 20 miles, infrequent
Experience required: 1 year acute care experience as a licensed therapist, first time travelers accepted
EMR: EPIC
Manager on each shift: Yes, with an on-call supervisor on weekends
Staffing: Rehab Aides and PTAs available
Orientation: System orientation and training class for documentation, hospital and department orientation within the first 3-5 days

Job Requirements

BLS certification required
State Licensure required for all PTs
1 year acute care experience as a licensed therapist

Schedule Information

4, 10 hour days per week
Shift hours: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Weekend Requirements: Yes, every other full weekend or one weekend day per week
Holiday Requirements: No
Self-scheduling: Not available, requests considered
