Woodward Resource Center (WRC), a State of Iowa Health & Human Services (HHS) specialty care facility, is seeking a Clerk Advanced to join our team. As a Clerk Advanced, you will provide clerical assistance for clinic services and the Dispensary. This is a full-time position with opportunity for advancement, growth, and development.

What You'll Do:

Maintain records and report systems. Assist with scanning and filing lab results/x-ray results. Assist the Dispensary Nurse in filing reports once they are received.
Assist with scheduling and logging off-campus medical appointments including working with a social worker prior to the appointment if consent is needed.
Provide support for medical providers and fulfill general office assignments as needed including completing a monthly dispensary clinic and appointment schedule when the Dispensary secretary is absent.
Complete daily driver's schedule, including entering all acute illness appointments, annual physical exams, and specialty clinic appointments. Call houses each morning for appointment reminder and pickup location. Use two-way radio to call driver for transportation.
Sort and distribute mail.
Work with minimal supervision to complete assignments in a multi-task environment. Perform related duties as required.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:

Experience equal to one year of full-time clerical office or closely related work.
A total of one year of education and/or experience (as described in number one), where one month of accredited post-high school course work in a secretarial, business, or closely related program equals one month of full-time experience.
A total of one year of education and/or experience (as described in number one), where 30 semester hours of accredited college or university course work in any field equals one year of full-time experience.
A total of one year of education and/or experience (as described in numbers one through three), where certification from the state of Iowa Administrative Assistant Certificate Program equals six months of full-time experience.
Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes the equivalent of six months of full-time work as a Clerk.
