Job Title: Tax Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to assist with state compliance filings, including premium tax returns and other data requests. This role requires experience in filing state regulatory reports and assembling tax filings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and tax regulations.

Responsibilities

Assist with state compliance filings, including premium tax returns and other data requests.
File and assemble tax filings accurately and on time.
Maintain and prepare state regulatory reports.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and requirements.
Analyze financial data for accurate reporting.
Provide support for accounts payable processes.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
1-3 years of experience in insurance accounting and tax-related roles.
Proficiency in tax accounting and financial reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with state regulatory report filing.
Exposure to tax lingo and terminology.
Experience in accounts payable processes.

Work Environment

This position requires working onsite 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, in a business casual environment.
