Lifepro configuration analyst

job summary:
The Senior Configuration Analyst plans and conducts a wide range of quality control

tests and analyses to ensure all application products and services meet organizational

standards and end-user requirements. This includes performing test planning, test

design and test execution. The Senior Analyst supports more complex testing efforts

and assists the Manager as a backup when gone. In addition to these responsibilities,

the Senior Analyst will also configure products, business rules, workflows, forms and

user interfaces to support business processes as defined below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administration Items
• Prepares requirements documentation for system modifications.
• Advocates for the use of qTest, JIRA leveraging test automation and Mob Test

Design.
• Has expertise in more than one of the following domains: Lifepro, EOE Systems or

Automation
• Conducts testing of configuration changes done by other Analysts and facilitates

user acceptance testing for system modifications.
• Interacting with Forms group on requirements for New Business/Service forms on

Electronic Order Entry (EOE) systems, Orion and Lifepro
• Supporting production LifePro and EOE systems for problem resolution.
• Handles all requests for new CUSIP numbers and coordinates with other areas

until request is completed.
• Supporting distributor data needs and setup of new distributors on EOE Systems.
• Configuring products and funds on EOE systems and/or Lifepro
• Will take lead in supporting production data problems reported by our distributors

or LifePro Production area.
• Implementation of forms changes
• Implementation of product changes
• Supplies list of carrier questions to be displayed on the platforms.
• May act as a project lead on EOE projects.
• May act as a lead on New Product or Rate Change Projects.
• EOE Platform updates
• Provides weekly status reports of ongoing and future projects
• Update project testing status in Qtest and JIRA
• Participates in carrier forums to keep current on changes happening in the

industry
• Assists Manager with scheduling of projects for EOE platforms

Testing Items
• Unit Tests projects requiring complex knowledge and experience Analyzes and

reviews requirements and technical work products
• Helps to Define test plan and coordinates testing with QA tester.
• Identifies adequate end-to-end testing for product and forms changes
• Executes unit testing for EOE platform changes and product changes
• Validates test results and records and researches defects
• Prioritizes, defines and manages defect reporting and resolution
• Coordinates with distributor platforms for testing.
• Utilizes qTest and qTest eXplorer to create tests, execute them and log defects
• Utilizes JIRA with Confluence to plan and execute workflow of projects.

Support Items
• Assists user departments with basic and complex questions
• Assist Manager with on-boarding of new broker dealers, banks or other financial

service entities on distributor platforms.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Monitors platforms, their performance and performs troubleshooting if any

problems arise.
• Performs other related work as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree Information Technology, Business Administration or related field

of study; plus a minimum of 3 years of related experience; or equivalent

combination of education and/or experience.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience with XML and SQL
• Insurance Industry experience working with annuity principles and products including

the application of related federal and state laws.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Lifepro and other Product Systems
• Experience working with EOE platforms, VTxml tool, Firelight and XML Spy tool.
• Experience with DTCC Files along with ACORD, XML, Firelight, RepPro, Ebix and Affirm

platforms

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications and a variety of software including

LifePRO.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong interpersonal

skills with ability to answer questions and effectively relay information to technical

and non-technical audiences; presentation skills.

multiple projects.
