Provides very basic patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse.
A competent person who assumes responsibility for observation of patient activities to maintain patient safety.
Provides reassurance to patients and family members.
Works independently as well as functioning as a team member.
Provides high quality care to the following patient populations:
Geriatric, Medical/Surgical, Adult, Telemetry, and Psychiatric Issues.Qualifications:
Essential functions of the position:
Observation of patients to ensure their safety and the safety of staffObserve patients' conditions/behavior and report changes to professional staffCleaning and straightening of patients roomsAssist in the turning and repositioning of patients to prevent pressure ulcersAppropriate use of bed/chair alarms for fall preventionDocument activities performed on the Frequent observation flow sheet documentation tool in an accurate and timely manner.Regular and reliable attendanceGreat River Health and its affiliates are Equal Opportunity employers.
