Our facility in Norwalk, Iowa is situated in a vibrant suburb of the Des Moines metropolitan area, renowned for its exceptional quality of life. Here, we produce top-notch precooked egg patties and various French Toast products.
Summary:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing multi-craft maintenance across our facility. Your primary focus will include troubleshooting and repairing equipment, implementing preventative maintenance programs, and engaging in continuous improvement activities to enhance machine reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize CMMS to support maintenance functions, including documenting scheduled and unscheduled tasks daily.
Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment and process malfunctions.
Maintain and repair refrigeration, steam, and pneumatic systems.
Overhaul pumps, control valves, sensors, and perform basic AC/DC electrical troubleshooting.
Use precision tools for diagnosis and repairs including micrometers and depth gauges.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
Adhere to safety and quality protocols to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
An associate degree in a related field or applicable technical training from a trade school.
Experience:
A minimum of 1-3 years in industrial operations, maintenance, or related fields.
Skills:
Strong communication skills, mathematical proficiency, and the ability to problem-solve in various situations.
Familiarity with CMMS systems, preferably SAP.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to handle physical demands such as walking, standing, lifting, and climbing.
