Service Engineer I- Electrical

This position is part of the Technology Sustainment team located in Coralville, IA and will be onsite.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Inspect and troubleshoot complex systems, benchmark, and improve system performance of engineered systems and equipment.
Initiate and fill out logs, reports, and forms as required for equipment assembly, test, and validation.
Contribute to requirement gathering and sustainment of custom biology manufacturing equipment.
Including liquid handling equipment, chemical process systems, Robotic and other automated work cells.
Other duties as assigned.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering with 0-2 years of experience OR Tech Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience required.
Understanding of electrical components and basic circuit troubleshooting.
Understanding of foundational design documentation, including; electrical schematics, P&ID's, and I/O lists.
Willingness to learn control panel design, software development, electrical and mechanical safety standards, tools, and principals involved in the manufacturing of custom oligonucleotides.
Ability to independently troubleshoot electro-mechanical equipment and instrumentation.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Experience with HMI design and troubleshooting, preferably Beckhoff
Experience in rapid prototyping
Experience with 3D modelling, preferably Solid Edge
